Couples choose their wedding date for so many reasons. It could be the date they first met or the date they got engaged. Finances could play a part  or it could be to fit in with family or work commitments. A Summer Wedding promises sunshine (sometimes breaking this promise), whilst a Winter Wedding has so much more sparkle!

Choose a romantic venue for your magical winter wedding. 

There’s nothing more welcoming on a cold winter’s day than a roaring fire. Cosy corners, elegant chandeliers and luxurious drapes help set the scene inside; we all love to sink into a leather armchair with a nightcap at the end of the evening. Private grounds play their part outside, making the most of the earlier sunset and magical golden hour. 

The sparkle of candlelight is found throughout our fairytale house; with ten acres of grounds privately available for you and your guests.

The weather is something that can’t be guaranteed in the UK for a Winter wedding. 

We realise that it’s unlikely to be sunny for a winter wedding, and it’s definitely not going to be warm. Which means that if the sun does shine on your day, it’s an unexpected bonus for everyone.  Some say that rain on your wedding day will bring good luck. If it should make an appearance on your day, embrace the raindrops; they rarely last the whole day.

Christmas adds an extra layer of sparkle to any Winter wedding

A welcome saving to your decor budget is provided by the festive decorations throughout the venue. Most venues decorate their venue mid November to early January ensuring plenty of dates are available to choose from. Guests can take time off to celebrate over the festive period, with more bank holidays than any other season.

Winter weddings are generally more affordable than Summer weddings. 

A weekend wedding booked November to February will be considerably cheaper than  June to August, with many more dates available. Greater savings are available – even when choosing a December date!
