Neil always knew that he wanted to propose to Natalie on Christmas Eve. On that evening he came in with a bottle of vintage Champagne. Kneeling down, he presented the most perfect ring.
From the very beginning, the venue was very important to the couple, with exclusivity and beautiful scenery top of their list of priorities. Most of all, they wanted the outside space to be the backdrop of the day. A West Tower winter wedding ticked all of their boxes.
“There are lots of beautiful wedding venues in the area but none with such an exceptional team. The product must always match the service and West Tower excels in this.” – Natalie
The style of their West Tower winter wedding
Natalie wanted a natural theme with lots of wood and candles with an added touch of glamour. To bring that to life, she designed and made all her wedding stationery, spending most weekends elbow deep in spray glue and bows. Later, the couple chose to give their guests macarons as their wedding favour.
Kirsty Doyle designed and made Natalie’s dress, taking inspiration from Zac Posen. Her brief was no sparkle, diamante or over the top glitz, with clean lines and structure. Tiny pearl snowdrops on her veil added to the winter theme, with royal blue shoes as her gesture to ‘something blue’.
In addition, all the men wore navy, with Neil choosing a contrasting grey wool double breasted waistcoat. Shoes were not forgotten either, with the couple providing identical footwear for all the groomsmen.
The wedding
For the ceremony, the couple chose ‘A Thousand Years’ by Aramis string quartet for Natalie’s entrance with her brother into the fabulously festive Ballroom at West Tower. Neil was waiting at the altar.
After the ceremony, canapés and drinks in the cellar bar were provided for their guests with live entertainment. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast. During the speeches, the couple’s daughter Anais stole the show, with toasts also given by both of Neil’s brothers.
Meanwhile, West Tower’s recommended DJ Steve Mitchell was a godsend for the couple. He was a trusted friend and delivered everything they had discussed.
Their first dance was to an acoustic version of Karen Ramirez, ‘Looking For Love’, performed by Jamie Clark. Later in the evening, guests were treated to the incredible soul band James Franklyn and the Soul Machine, who made sure the dance floor was packed from start to finish.
“Honestly, I can happily say that I made the absolute perfect choice in West Tower. When I think back, I couldn’t talk about the team more highly and think of them with huge warmth. Above all, I am happy they are in my memories of my perfect day, almost like aunts or cousins there to celebrate with me.” – Natalie
