How did you hear about West Tower?
I stumbled across West Tower on Bridebrook. I say I because Colin always said he wanted me to be happy with the location. It was a very simple process for us really!Â
Which other venues did you visit and how did West Tower compare?
We (well I ) came across 4 particular venues we wanted to view and West Tower just absolutely out-shone the other 3. It was the most miserable day we could have picked to view the venue and it couldn’t have made the slightest difference to our perception; we felt at home. The traditional features, the blank canvas spaces and the guest rooms; wow, we just new it was the one. When you know you know right?!
What was on your ‘tick list’ of venue must haves?
The guest bedrooms had to be right, the main wedding room had to be a blank canvas that we could dress to our taste and instantly on arrival, we just knew it had all the right features we were looking for.
How many times did you visit before booking?
Just once, that’s all we needed! It was love at first sight!
Why did you book West Tower?
We didn’t know exactly what we were looking for until we stepped into West Tower. We just instantly knew after visiting that it was the place we knew we wanted to get married.
Once you had booked
Did you visit an Open Evening or Showcase event?
We visited one opening evening just to get a taster for what to expect on the day. It completely made us feel at home.
How did your coordinator help plan your day?
Alex couldn’t have done anything more; she was with us every step of the way. If I ever had any questions or wanted any clarity on anything from the timings of the day to music selection, she was there to guide us through it all. We couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator.
Did you attend a menu taste event? If so, what did you enjoy about it?
We attended our menu tasting event and it was lovely. It was so nice to be wined and dined and be able to taste such a variation to aid our selection for our special day. The sommelier was fantastic; I’m a fanatical wine drinker and so wanted the best selection at our wedding and so he was fabulous at helping us make a good decision.
Your big day
Can you Sum up your day in 3 words?
Happiest, Day Ever; sounds so cliché but until you experience it, no one will ever understand the complete love and happiness you’re wrapped up in for one whole day. It’s the most special feeling in the entire world. A feeling I never want to forget. (I think Colin feels the same too haha!)
Did you enjoy the food and drink served on your day?
Was delightful. We had nothing but amazing compliments from our guests, despite us not eating most of the day. Everybody seemed to enjoy the various courses and especially our choice of canapés and evening food. The steak and chips, fish and chip cones and paninis went down an absolute storm!
Have you received feedback from your family and friends?
Nothing but wonderful comments. Makes us feel so much warmth. Wonderful comments about the venue, the food, the entertainment and service. Nothing seemed to fault.
Your thoughts on West Tower
Would you recommend West Tower as a wedding venue? If so, please give 5 reasons why?
Oh WOW, 100%! Living in Thornton Cleveleys, none of our family and friends understood why we didn’t want to get married on our doorstep and soon as they arrived at West Tower, they sensed how well suited it was. It’s homely, the guest rooms are beautiful, the grounds are utterly gorgeous, the service is incredible, and the location is perfect, just far enough away from home.
Is there a member of staff who stands-out for you? If so who & why?
Alex Keeley; just lovely, friendly, understanding, patient and very considerate. She couldn’t have offered more support, especially leading up to the wedding. Those final few weeks as a bride are so utterly stressful though Alex, she was with me to the finest detail. Incredible!
What would you say to someone who was considering West Tower for their wedding venue?
Don’t hesitate. If you get that warm feeling and tingly sensation as soon as you step foot through those beautiful traditional doors and see that blazing fire, you know it’s the one for you.
