What does an “exclusive wedding venue” really mean? For some venues it simply means there is only one wedding per day, but they may still host parties or other events at the same time. At West Tower, an exclusive wedding venue means the house and grounds are yours alone. It is only you and your guests on site on your special day. You do not share it with anyone else.

1. The whole place is yours
This is often the biggest appeal of an exclusive wedding venue. Every space is yours for the day. It is important to check what your chosen venue classes as “exclusive”, as some will host one wedding but still run another event elsewhere in the building.
At West Tower, exclusivity means no other events and no strangers at the bar or in the corridors. Everyone you see on site is there for you.
2. Everything is under one roof
Another major benefit is being able to hold everything in one place. At West Tower you can choose a ceremony in our elegant Ballroom or, if the British weather is on your side, say “I do” outside in our garden pagoda. Either way, there is no need to organise transport between locations.
That saves time and money, keeps the day flowing smoothly and gives you more time with your guests and with each other.
3. It feels like home from home
From the moment you arrive until checkout, our home is your home. You can decorate and personalise the house to your heart’s content. Because there is nobody else on site, your décor does not have to be restricted to one room.

4. You can get ready on site
Many venues can offer a bedroom to get ready in, but it is not always ideal to squeeze a whole bridal party plus hair and make up into one standard room.
At an exclusive wedding venue, the getting ready space is often designed with that morning in mind. Our Cristal Suite is a purpose built dressing room with space for your whole wedding party, a lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen. Being able to get ready on site removes the stress of travelling to the ceremony. You are already there.
5. It feels safer and more relaxed for children
When you have exclusive use of the house and grounds, it is easier to relax if you have children at your wedding. Our ten acres of lawns, woodland and gardens give little ones room to run around and burn off energy, without you worrying about other guests or passers by.
There are plenty of ways to keep them entertained too, from lawn games to bouncy castles. We are often asked what time children have to leave, which is a restriction some venues have. At West Tower there is no cut off. Children are welcome to stay and dance the night away, with their own menu and extras designed for smaller appetites.
6. Private accommodation for your guests
On site accommodation is a huge plus when you are choosing a venue. At an exclusive wedding venue, bedrooms are reserved solely for wedding guests, not sold to the general public.
At West Tower we have twenty seven guest rooms, sleeping up to sixty five of your family and friends. You also have full control over who sleeps where, as couples can allocate each room themselves.
7. The team is focused on you
Choosing a dedicated wedding venue means the staff are there for weddings first and foremost. You are not sharing their attention with conferences, restaurant services or spa days. From your first enquiry to the last drink at the bar, you are their focus.
At West Tower, each couple is looked after by their own coordinator in the lead up to the day. On the wedding day itself, your Events Manager, front of house team, bar staff and chefs are all working for one thing only: your celebration.
8. Exclusive grounds for photos and drinks
Exclusive wedding venues often come with generous outdoor space. A country house can offer gardens and views that a city centre hotel simply cannot.
Our gardens and terrace include woodland, meadow and lawns around the house, with far reaching views across Lancashire. Because the grounds are exclusive to your wedding, there is no need to worry about other guests wandering into the background of your photos.
