How did you hear about West Tower?
I think West Tower’s facebook page popped up on my recommend list once I started googling everything
Wedding related after the engagement. I wasn’t aware of it before then as I never really ventured towards Ormskirk.
Which other venues did you visit and how did West Tower compare?
I visited Lancashire Manor and Peckforton Castle. Both are absolutely beautiful venues that anyone would be lucky to get married in but I felt they were missing something. I visited one of West Towers open evenings on a last minute whim with one of my friends and loved it as soon as I drove up the driveway and I got this very excitable feeling. Nowhere else could compare after that.
What was on your ‘tick list’ of venue must haves?
Exclusivity was one of the main things I didn’t know I wanted until I visited the other venues, I loved that we had the entire house and grounds to ourselves.
Me and Chris also wanted somewhere that guests could stay overnight and where we could have the ceremony too.
West Tower ticked all those boxes.
How many times did you visit before booking?
I personally visited twice, once with my friend and then again with Chris when I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Chris came once and we asked for dates and pricing etc pretty much straight away. Thankfully he loved it as much as I did.
Why did you book West Tower?
West Tower is a beautiful venue with the most amazing views and the most attentive staff (which every supplier I have worked with agreed with). That excited feeling I got when I first saw it never really went away and it was this feeling that made me realise that I had to bring Chris back to see it. It was my very own bridal moment but with the Venue so it couldn’t be ignored.
Once you had booked
Did you visit an Open Evening or Showcase event?
I think the staff would agree that I visited pretty much as often as I could! All the staff were always so lovely to me no matter how many evenings and showcases I turned up to.
How did your coordinator help plan your day?
Maria was absolutely brilliant. She was always there on the other end of an email or the phone, no question was too little. She just made everything so easy, I felt like I didn’t need to worry about anything beforehand. Having never dealt with anything like this before it was always nice to have that consent connection and Maria always made you feel like you had her full attention despite no doubt having numerous other brides to deal with.
Did you attend a menu taste event? If so, what did you enjoy about it?
The menu tasting was our favourite visit I think! We had heard such good things about the food at West Tower that were really looking forward to it. It did not disappoint at all. I would have gladly served anything we ate and drank that night to our guests. The atmosphere that night was really nice too, you could tell all the other couples were enjoying themselves as much as we were especially watching the different food coming out.

Did you enjoy the food and drink served on your day?
The food and drink on the day was amazing. I loved the canapés, especially the mini Yorkshire pudding! I know the BBQ in the evening went down a treat with everyone as well as Chris told me there was hardly anything left at the end!
Have you received feedback from your family and friends?
We have had some lovely feedback from pretty much everyone regarding the whole day. We really wanted the day to as enjoyable for our guests as we knew it would be for us and we thankfully seemed to have done that. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and I know I definitely had a lot of lovely comments about the staff and how well organised the day was, how it all flowed seamlessly from one part to the next.
Your thoughts on West Tower
Would you recommend West Tower as a wedding venue? If so, please give 5 reasons why?
Most definitely, without hesitation.

Is there a member of staff who stands-out for you? If so who & why?
Maria was brilliant the whole way through our wedding journey. She kept us up to date and gently prompted if I ever forgot to get back to her (she has endless patience). Whenever I had questions she would get back to me pretty quickly so I didn’t have to wait around and on our visit to go through timings etc, I didn’t even need to ask any further questions as she gave us every last bit of info we might have needed.
I do have to mention Alex as well, not only was she lovely every single time I turned up to an open evening, she sorted all my very last minute problems with cancelled guests (day before) with ease. She made it all so much easier. Also on the day our photographer unfortunately had 2 burst tyres on the motorway on the way to the venue, Alex made sure he made it only 10 minutes after I did and kept the whole thing running smoothly. I never felt like I had any reason to worry. I will always be grateful for that.
What would you say to someone who was considering West Tower for their wedding venue?
Go and view the venue, you won’t be able to say no and you will not be disappointed. You are guaranteed an amazing wedding day here.
